OK. A lot of people want to know how is “it really possible to make money online” with AdWords and Clickbank. A lot more people are out there willing to take your money in exchange for them telling you how to do it. In a previous post I promised that I would reveal the only 3 Adwords-Clickbank products that I would stand behind. If you have eyes and are reading this blog, I don’t think I actually have to list them.

Instead, I’m going to give you some free Adwords tips concerning using Adwords to market Clickbank products. In fact I’m here to dispel some very popular myths surrounding the best ways to make money with Adwords and Clickbank. This is based on my own aggressive Adwords campaigns that were making me a lot of money before Google suspended my account. Don’t worry, that account got suspended for advertising a product Google didn’t like, not how I was doing my advertising. See this blog on Copy ‘N Profit.

Adwords Myth #1 - Only use the Search network.

This is the grandaddy of bad Adwords advice. If you really want to really make the most money online you can with Adwords than you absolutely need to use the content network. Almost 80% of my sales have been through the content network and the ROI on the content network is much better than on the search network. What you need to do is keep your bids as low as possible, and you should do all the necessary tracking to see what sites, what countries, and what time of day your sales come from. From my own experience I believe that someone new to this would do better with just the content network than the search network on Adwords. My only warning would be this: keep your keywords very relevant and do not use one word keywords that will have your ad showing up anywhere.

Adwords Myth # 2 - Promote Products No One Else Is

This one can work if you happen upon a new product before anyone else and you know it will sell. For example, when the game guide “Mafia War Secrets” came out I was one of the first people to promote it and made a ton of sales through the content network on this one. That was an exception. Most of the time if no one else is promoting a product than the product is generally not good or there’s no market for it. Never choose a Clickbank product to promote unless you see that at least some other people are making sales with it. The “gravity” ranking at Clickbank marketplace will tell you how many in the last month.

Adwords Myth # 3 - Only Target English Speaking Countries

Another totally bogus piece of adwords advice. OK people, here the facts. Over 40 % of my total Clickbank sales have come from outside the United States and half of them were from countries that are not English speaking per se. There are people all over the world who not only speak English, but care to and do buy Clickbank products. And here’s the kicker: if no one else is targeting these countries the keyword bids become super low.

Adwords Myth #4 - You need to be on page 1

This myth used to be that your ad needed to show in the number one spot but everyone has caught on to the fact that ad position 3-4 is the best spot. Well I’m here to tell you that your ad does not even need to be on page one to be profitable. The keyword here is “profitable”. It’s all about how much you spend VS. how much you make. If you can’t be profitable on page 1 because of too much competition than bid low and be profitable on page 2. Anyone who makes it to page two is very serious about their problem and may in fact be more likely to buy.

Adwords Myth # 5 - You need your own landing page.

Total rubbish. Does it help? Sure it does. Having your own landing page allows you the opportunity to capture email addresses, and do follow ups. Do you need one to make money with Adwords and Clickbank. No. But you may make less. But I have a way to curb that if you aren’t ready yet to make your own landing pages. Here’s the trick: only promote Clickbank products that get the visitors email addresses and do follow ups. They are basically doing the work of a landing page for you. The disadvantage is you don’t get to promote other products later on to these people , but products that capture email addresses and do follow up sales pitches will bring you more sales. I’m still getting sales on products I haven’t promoted for a month.

Ok. That’s my 5 Adwords Myths. In a later post I’m going to give you some very useful tips on what to do with Adwords and Clickbank to make money online. see you then.
