Really Make Money Online Without Any Backlinks

Getting to page one on Google for any profitable keyword is  almost a guarantee that you can make money with your website. Even a site with a poor sales page and no idea how to convert will make some money just by being on page one. If you’re not doing the affiliate thing you can at least make money from AdSense ads.

There has been a lot  written about Web 2.0 sites and getting backlinks as being the only way to get to page one on Google. And we all know that the free traffic generated by getting on page one is going to make you money. The problem with all the Web 2.0 strategies is that Google changes the rules all the time. All the time.  And they should. The search engine’s job is to provide value to it’s user which simply means helping searchers find the material or information they are looking for.

Whenever a search engine tactic begins to be over used in a spammy way Google stops considering it as a valuable way to find relevant sites. If your entire traffic strategy is based around one of these tactics you will suddenly find yourself with no traffic and the money you’ve been making from your seb site will instantly dry up. Google page one results should always give the reader the best sites that match the search inquiry not the sites that managed to trick Google the best.

Does that mean you shouldn’t bother with backlinks. Of course not. Good solid backlinks are never a bad thing; in some competitive niches you will need them to get on page one; and you should work on getting them, but if you want to create a long term income stream from your website you must first get your site as high in the search engine rankings as possible without them.

So how do I get one page one on Google?

The answer is actual quite simple: SEO or Search Engine Optimization. And before you run off screaming that it’s just too hard and the rules always change let me assure you that SEO done on your site has not changed much at all ih the past ten years. All the off site tactics may have changed but solid techniques for high rankings that you can apply to your website today will still be working a year or 5 years from now. And don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not possible to get on page one without backlinks. I’ve done it with numerous sites. In fact the biggest selling system on Clickbank right now , basically teaches you to do SEO exactly the way I do, without needing any backlinks.

If you want to make money from your website you need to think long term. You don’t want that online income to suddenly dry up because you spent all of your efforts posting to blogs, or writing on Squidoo. Long term search engine optimization to your website is easy to do, it’s permanent and it’s a simple as choosing the write keywords, using the right page titles, naming your pages correctly, using the right anchor text for links and of course the big one: writing non-spammy relevant content for your site.

In the old days people posted information to web pages as a  way to share it and search engine results generally easily returned your site if you had written revelavant content. Then things got a little trickier as webmasters figured out how to load up keywords and get themselves in the top results with no valuable website content. Google would spot these tricks and the tide would turn. And the cycle repeated itself. In the long term the sites with the most relevant content and keywords will always end up dominating the results and if you have equal content but have optimized your site better you will make more money online with your site than someone who doesn’t.
