How To Really Make Money Online Writing Keyword Rich Niche Content
Posted Under: Really Make Money Online
This post is one of the steps outlined in this post : How To Make Money Online If you haven’t already read it I recommend that you do so at your convenience.
When you sit down to write content for your website you need to focus on two things: getting your keywords into your content and writing in a natural style. Stuffing your content full of keywords is no longer a viable option when writing content for a website. The search engines use what called LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) that mathematically determines if your writing style is natural or not by comparing keywords in yout text to the other words in your text to see if they naturally go together.Â
By looking at all the words in your text it also allows the search engines to determine the true meaning of words that are used in different contexts. So when you are looking for “sports”, you don’t get results for “sports bras”.
To get the most for a niche website it is critical that your content is about your subject matter and only your subject matter. The more specific the content is the more likely the search engines will return your site in the results for that niche. After studying hundreds of successful niche sites I’m convinced that in a very specific niche only 4 or 5 pages of content should exist on your site with only one offer available for your visitors to pursue. If you really want to rank well in the search engines then only use 2-3 keyword phrases in your entire site.
Make sure your content has some value to it and I recommend using natural speaking terms like “I”, “you”, “my” etc. This makes your content appear to be more informative rather than a sales pitch. Let your offer be the sale pitch, your website should be about providing value to your visitor in the form of information. Before begininng any niche site I first sit down and come up with 4 or 5 tips that I want to share with my readers about the subject matter. Then I write all of the articles up front. It’s important that you compare all of your articles to each other and to your niche subject matter to make sure that you haven’t gone off on some tangent.
If you are going after a niche specific keyword that get searched 8,000 time a month you want to make sure your entire site is about that exact search phrase or very related to it. To check what Google thinks is related simply I’ll type my search phrase into the Google engine and look at the results for related keywords. All your keyword phrases should bring up your other keyword phrases for optimum content matter.
One last tip: you don’t have to be an expert in the subject matter to write your site content, there is enough loose info out there for you to gather together and combine into your own articles, but always write your own content. Never copy content from another author even if they have given you permission to do so. Fresh content is gold for the search engines. Make sure you have it.
